Team 3: Left Brain/Right Brain

Team 3: Left Brain/Right Brain

Coaches: Keller & Schwartz

Date: July 26, 27 & 28

Times: 9:45-11:45am

Some students focus more on the whole picture, the arts, and creativity, while others see details, logic, and order. During week three, students discover what side of the brain they use more with games and puzzles.

Tuesday: Left brain/right brain quiz, overview, and Taboo

In the first class of the week, students will take a brief quiz to see just where their thinking lies and coaches will explain the differences between the two hemispheres of the brain. After discussing, students will play Taboo, a game of both creative solutions and logical thinking.

Wednesday: Dixit

During the second class, students will play the story creation game of Dixit. This game incorporates elements of creativity and sequencing in order to deliver a coherent story.

Thursday: Scattegories

On the third class of the week, students will again test both sides of their brains with the game of Scattegories! This game initiates both sides of the brain by logically listing out words that match the category and by creatively coming up with solutions and alliterations.
